Lightside was on hand to photograph the wedding party of Olga and Anton. The twist with this wedding party was punting. So very Cambridge, we jumped at the chance to capture some great moments.
Lightside photography was in action for a short 2 hour wedding photography job over at the Cambridge registry office. As you can see below we were able to capture creative and natural shots of Martin and Andreina in a short space of time to make sure they would received wedding photos they will treasure forever.
Last year we did a fabulous engagement shoot with Seb and Dan, during that session we took some photos for their ‘save the date’ cards. We didn’t share the results on our blog at the time as we wanted to wait until Seb and Dan had sent them out. Well, it’s way past that time and only a couple of months before their wedding, so here they are! Want to do a creative photo for your 'save the date' cards? Contact us today
On Sunday 24th April the 2nd annual ‘Isaacson Invitational Cup’ was held at Chesterton Sports Centre in Cambridge. Kinnerz Coaching started this ladies community football event last year in honour of Samantha Isaacson, who had at that time been recently diagnosed with bowel cancer. The aim of the event is to raise money for cancer charities and for people to have fun, get active and show their support.
LightSide Photography had such a great afternoon at this event, while David was photographing all the action, Josie was in the middle of the action playing for Sue’s Superheroes, who by the way made it to the semi-finals, only to be knocked out in a penalty shoot out thriller!

There was a time when the only professional portrait most of us had, or needed, was from our school days. However, times have certainly changed and need for a high quality photo presenting you at your very best has dramatically increased. Whether it’s for a company’s website, a personal website, a Linkedin profile, a modelling/acting portfolio, a sports team or even a dating website, many of us now need a professional portrait. Getting it right can really help you make a good first impression, but of course most of us are not professional models and we need a little help to ensure we look our best. That’s where a good photographer comes in, you see it’s not just about technically taking a high quality photo, it’s about choosing the right locations, finding the perfect lighting and guiding you to the pose that works best for your face, body and image.
We love doing portrait photography, there’s something so rewarding about making people feel comfortable in front of the camera and creating images of people that they actually love, especially when the vast majority begin the session by telling us they hate having their photo taken or that they aren't very photogenic.
